Resumé
“ If a problem is tricky, time-sensitive, or performance-critical, that’s where I want to be.”
I’m Shaurya Pandey—an AI & gameplay programmer who loves tackling challenging real-time problems.
After completing my bachelor's degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from Manipal, I set out in search of a rewarding role in cutting-edge engineering. I was aware that game developers often solve some of the most complex problems in computer science, and soon I landed my first job at Ubisoft India.
When I joined, I was initially assigned to work on animation programming problems, which I did for about a year. Then I heard that the studio would soon be taking on a significant volume of AI work. That piqued my curiosity, and I raised my hand for it. My enthusiasm was well received, and not long after, I became part of the AI programming team—where I remained for the next two years. I thoroughly enjoyed working on AI and gameplay systems, and I had the opportunity to learn from the work of many talented developers across studios.
After working in the industry for three years, I decided to return to an academic environment to further my skills. Today, I’m a graduate student at FIEA, the #2-ranked master’s program for game development.
For me, programming is not just a mechanical task performed at a keyboard—it’s thoughtful software engineering. I’m passionate about developing robust, scalable, and maintainable software systems that save time, reduce cost, and empower teams to do their best work.
